Kyocera Dome Osaka on Concert Day: From Kansai Airport Straight to the Venue While Your Bags Go to the Hotel (2026 MAMA AWARDS)

Kyocera Dome Osaka sits directly above two stations: Dome-mae Chiyozaki on the Osaka Metro and Dome-mae on the Hanshin Namba Line, about 5 minutes from Namba. From Kansai Airport, allow roughly an hour by train with one change. Large suitcases are not meant for the stands and the venue's lockers are limited, so on concert day the easiest plan is to hand your bags over at the airport, have them delivered to your hotel, and go to the dome with just a small bag.

How to get to Kyocera Dome Osaka: nearest stations

Two stations are right next to the dome: Dome-mae Chiyozaki on the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line and Dome-mae on the Hanshin Namba Line. JR Osaka Loop Line passengers use Taisho Station, about a 7-minute walk. The times below are from the venue's access map.

Station Line Walk to the dome Typical journey
Dome-mae Chiyozaki Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line Right outside About 5 min from Shinsaibashi (Midosuji Line: about 2 min from Namba, about 6 min from Umeda)
Dome-mae Hanshin Namba Line Right outside About 5 min from Osaka-Namba; about 3 min from Nishikujo
Taisho JR Osaka Loop Line About 7 min About 12 min from Osaka Station, about 7 min from Tennoji
Kujo Osaka Metro Chuo Line About 9 min About 4 min from Hommachi
Taishobashi (bus stop) Osaka City Bus About 6 min About 9 min from Namba

Entry gates are on the 3rd floor, numbered 1 to 14. You reach them by the outside stairs and elevators; you can't walk into the stands directly from the 2F shopping mall. The venue asks everyone to come by public transport on event days, and the bus drop-off area may be closed depending on the event.

Kansai Airport to Kyocera Dome Osaka: going straight from the plane

From Kansai Airport (KIX), the fastest way to the dome is the Nankai line to Namba, then the Hanshin Namba Line or the Osaka Metro for the last 5 minutes. Without luggage, that's roughly an hour including the change. JR is the easier choice if you hold a JR Pass.

Route How Approximate time on the train
Nankai + Hanshin Rapi:t (from 34 min) or Airport Express (about 45 min) to Namba → walk underground to Osaka-Namba → Hanshin Namba Line to Dome-mae (about 5 min) About 40–50 min, plus the transfer walk
Nankai + Osaka Metro To Namba → Midosuji Line to Shinsaibashi (about 2 min) → Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line to Dome-mae Chiyozaki (about 5 min) About 40–55 min, plus two transfers
JR Haruka + Loop Line Haruka to Tennoji (about 30 min) → Osaka Loop Line to Taisho (about 7 min) → walk about 7 min About 40 min, plus the walk
JR Kansai Airport Rapid Runs onto the Osaka Loop Line and stops at Taisho, no change needed → walk about 7 min Slower than the Haruka; check JR West's timetable

Nankai's Namba Station and Hanshin's Osaka-Namba Station are separate stations linked underground, so allow time for the walk (Nankai Rapi:t, JR West HARUKA).

Flying in via Tokyo or into Itami Airport

Many travellers from the US, Europe and Australia land in Tokyo first and reach Osaka later. The Nozomi Shinkansen takes about 2 hours 30 minutes from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka, and a domestic flight from Haneda to Itami (Osaka Airport) takes about an hour to an hour and a half. You can send bags from your Tokyo hotel to your Osaka hotel the same day (see Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka: 4 Ways to Send Your Luggage Hotel to Hotel the Same Day). From Itami, take the monorail and Hankyu line to Umeda or a limousine bus into the city; check times and fares on the operators' official sites.

Can you bring a suitcase into Kyocera Dome Osaka? Bag rules and coin lockers

Plan on not taking it in. For professional baseball, the dome's prohibited items list (as of 18 February 2026) includes suitcases, carry-on cases and other large bags that don't fit in your seat space, and the dome doesn't hold them for you. Concerts are run under the organiser's rules; the MAMA notice hadn't been published when we checked, but plan as if the same applies.

Option Where Suitcase-sized? Watch out for
Coin lockers at the dome 2F (on the official floor map) Number and sizes not published Likely to fill early on concert days
Station coin lockers Namba, Umeda, nearby stations A few large lockers at big stations Everyone heading to the show is looking for one too
Airport delivery counter KIX Terminal 1, 4F (opens 06:30) Yes Hand in by 12:30 for same-day delivery after 18:00, eligible Osaka-city accommodation only
Airport-to-hotel luggage delivery KIX arrivals meeting point Yes Handover slots 09:00–18:00; book 24–72 h ahead (cutoff on booking page)
Drop at your hotel first Your hotel's front desk Yes Takes 1–2 hours out of your concert day

For the airport counter, see Yamato's Osaka baggage service page; for the dome, see its floor guide. Only leave bags with staffed services that give you a receipt.

Concert-day timeline: land in the morning, see the show at night

The smoothest day is a morning landing: hand over your bags in the arrivals hall, travel to the dome with a small bag, and pick up your suitcase from the hotel front desk after the show. Times below are an example for an evening show; check your ticket for door and start times.

Time You Your luggage
Morning Land at KIX, clear immigration and customs Hand it to an agent at the arrivals meeting point (09:00–18:00)
Midday Train to Namba, lunch, then to the dome On its way to your hotel
Evening Doors open and the show starts Delivered to the hotel front desk by 21:00 (by 18:00 with priority delivery)
After the show Train back to your hotel Collect it at the front desk
Next day Check out, sightsee hands-free From the front desk to the airport; delivery at least 2 hours before departure recommended

If you're going on both days, simply stay at the same hotel for both nights; your bags only move on the day you arrive and the day you leave.

Landing before 09:00 or late in the afternoon

Airport handovers run from 09:00 to 18:00 only. If you land on an overnight flight before 09:00, have breakfast or a shower at the airport and hand over at 09:00, or use the airport delivery counter, which opens at 06:30 (see Early-Morning Arrival in Japan Before Check-In: A Luggage and Time Plan for Red-Eye Flights). If you land late in the afternoon, the 18:00 last handover and the minimum of 3 hours between pickup and delivery can make same-day delivery tight; the booking page shows which slots are available. If it doesn't fit, drop the bags at your hotel on the way.

After the show: crowds and getting back to your hotel

Expect the stations next to the dome to be at their busiest right after the show. The two Dome-mae stations are the closest, so they fill first; JR Taisho (about 7 minutes on foot) and Kujo on the Chuo Line (about 9 minutes) spread the crowd out.

How to send your luggage from Kansai Airport to your Osaka hotel on concert day

Luggage is the hard part of a concert day. Suitcases can't go into the stands, the venue's coin lockers are limited, and every fan heading to the show is looking for the same locker at the station. Taking your bags to the hotel first costs time you'd rather spend at the venue.

LuggAgent lets you skip all of that. An agent waits for you at the Kansai Airport arrivals meeting point with a sign; you hand over your bags between 09:00 and 18:00, and they are photographed at pickup and delivery. They reach your hotel front desk by 21:00 the same day, or by 18:00 with priority delivery, so they'll be waiting when you get back from the show.

  1. Most services need to be booked at least 24–72 hours in advance; the exact cutoff is shown on the booking page. If you're picked up at an Airbnb or guesthouse, meet the driver in person at the pickup time you chose (09:00–11:00) with your bags; if your bags are delivered to one, send the full address and entry details (door code, key box or building access) by 13:00 local time on the service day, and you don't need to be there.
  2. Choose a handover time at least an hour after landing to allow for immigration and customs.
  3. Let your hotel know your bags will arrive before you and ask the front desk to accept them.
  4. For your flight home, choose a pickup time between 09:00 and 11:00 when booking, leave your bags at the front desk before then and send a photo to customer support; no need to wait for the driver. We recommend choosing a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Delivery between 15:00 and 21:00 has no extra time charge; 13:00–15:00 and 21:00–24:00 cost a little more, so for a morning flight, take your bags with you.

Areas, routes and prices are on the Osaka luggage delivery page.

FAQ

When and where are the 2026 MAMA AWARDS?

On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November 2026 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, organised by CJ ENM and streamed live worldwide on Mnet Plus. As of 12 October 2026, door and start times had not been posted on the venue calendar, so check the organiser's official channels.

Can I bring a suitcase into Kyocera Dome Osaka?

Plan on not doing so. For baseball, the dome lists suitcases, carry-on cases and other bags that don't fit in your seat space as prohibited items, and it doesn't hold them for you. Concert rules are set by each organiser, so check the notice for your show and leave large bags at your hotel or send them ahead.

Are there coin lockers at Kyocera Dome Osaka?

Yes. The official 2F floor map shows coin lockers, but the venue doesn't publish how many there are or what sizes. On concert days they are likely to fill early, so don't plan on fitting a full-size suitcase into one.

What is the nearest station to Kyocera Dome Osaka?

Dome-mae Chiyozaki (Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line) and Dome-mae (Hanshin Namba Line) are both right next to the dome. Hanshin takes about 5 minutes from Osaka-Namba, and JR Taisho Station on the Loop Line is about a 7-minute walk.

Can I send my luggage from Kansai Airport to my hotel on the day of the concert?

Yes. A luggage delivery service can collect your bags in the KIX arrivals hall and take them to your Osaka hotel the same day, so you can go to the dome with a small bag. With LuggAgent, airport handovers run 09:00–18:00, hotel delivery is by 21:00 (or 18:00 with priority), and most services need to be booked at least 24–72 hours in advance (the exact cutoff is shown on the booking page).
