How to Use Same-Day Luggage Delivery: Step by Step
To use same-day luggage delivery, book your route online in advance (most services need to be booked at least 24–72 hours ahead; the exact cutoff is shown on the booking page), then hand your bags over: at a hotel, choose a pickup time between 09:00 and 11:00 when you book and leave them at the front desk before then; at the airport, meet the agent at the meeting point in your confirmation email, between 09:00 and 18:00. Your bags reach your next hotel by 18:00 or 21:00, depending on the option you choose, and for the airport, we recommend choosing a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs.
Key takeaways
- Booking deadline: most services need to be booked at least 24–72 hours in advance; the exact cutoff is shown on the booking page. For an Airbnb or homestay: at pickup, meet the driver in person at the pickup time you chose (09:00–11:00); for delivery, send the full address and entry details by 13:00 local time on the service day (you don't need to be there).
- At a hotel, leave your bags at the front desk by your pickup time (09:00–11:00), send a photo to customer service, and go. You don't wait for the driver.
- At the airport there's no LuggAgent counter: an agent with a LuggAgent sign meets you at the meeting point in your confirmation email. Arrival handovers run 09:00–18:00; we recommend choosing a pickup time about 1 hour after your flight lands, so you have time for immigration and baggage claim.
- For a flight home, we recommend choosing a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Standard hours are 15:00–21:00.
- Bags are photographed at pickup and delivery, and you can follow each step on the tracking page and by email.
How does same-day luggage delivery work?
Same-day luggage delivery means you hand your bags over in the morning or on arrival and collect them at your next stop the same day. With LuggAgent the whole process has four steps: book online, hand over your bags, track the delivery, and collect them at the hotel or airport (How it works).
Where and when you hand over depends on the type of trip:
| Trip | Where you hand over | When | Where you get your bags |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport → hotel | In person, at the airport meeting point | 09:00–18:00; we recommend about 1 hour after landing | Hotel front desk, by 18:00 or 21:00 |
| Hotel → hotel | Hotel front desk | By your pickup time (09:00–11:00) | Next hotel's front desk, by 18:00 or 21:00 |
| Hotel → airport | Hotel front desk | By your pickup time (09:00–11:00) | In person at the airport; we recommend a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs |
| Airbnb or homestay | In person, with the driver | At your pickup time (09:00–11:00) | Placed inside, using the check-in details you send |
The rest of this guide goes through each step in the order you'll meet it.
Step 1: Choose your route and book before the deadline
Book on the booking page: most services need to be booked at least 24–72 hours in advance, and the exact cutoff is shown there. You see the full price before you pay:
- From and to: choose the airport, hotel or homestay where your bags start and end. Enter the hotel name or full address.
- Bags: standard bags (up to 32 kg and 180 cm) or oversized items such as ski bags, golf bags, bicycles and strollers (up to 25 kg and 250 cm).
- Send-out date and time: the airport handover time, or the time your bags must be at the hotel front desk.
- Delivery: at a hotel, choose arrival by 21:00 (standard) or by 18:00 (extra fee); at the airport, choose a delivery time.
- Pay online by card: you get a confirmation email straight away. Keep it handy, because it shows your airport meeting point.
Booking deadlines at a glance (see also How it works):
| Where | Book by |
|---|---|
| Most services | At least 24–72 hours before the service time |
| Exact cutoff for your route | Shown on the booking page |
| Any Airbnb or homestay address | Pickup: meet the driver in person at your chosen 09:00–11:00 time; delivery: full address and entry details by 13:00 local time on the service day |
Missed the cutoff? Contact our support team; depending on route and availability, it may still be accepted, with an extra rush fee.
Step 2: Pick the right time slot
Choose the slot with your flight times in front of you.
Arriving: we recommend about 1 hour after landing
We recommend choosing a pickup time about 1 hour after your flight lands, so you have time for immigration and baggage claim. Handover times run from 09:00 to 18:00 in 15-minute steps. If you're flying in long-haul from Australia, North America or Europe and land in the afternoon, that fits easily. If you land before about 08:00, as many overnight flights do, you can't hand over straight away; see the early-morning guide in Related guides for a plan.
Departing: we recommend at least 2 hours before your flight
We recommend choosing a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs; the agent hands your bags back then, leaving time for check-in and security. The standard (free) hours are 15:00–21:00. You can also choose 13:00–15:00 or 21:00–24:00 for an extra fee, which is shown on the booking page.
Step 3: Hand over your bags at the hotel front desk
At a hotel with a front desk, you don't need to wait for the driver: leave your bags at reception by the pickup time you chose (09:00–11:00) and get on with your day. The driver collects them later as part of the route, and you get an email once they've been picked up. LuggAgent's hotel handover page sets out four steps:
- Bring your bags to the front desk by your pickup time.
- Tell the staff that a LuggAgent driver will collect them today.
- If the staff are unsure, show them the note for hotel staff on that page. It's written in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, and asks them to hand the bags to the driver who shows your booking name or order code.
- Keep the storage receipt or tag the hotel gives you, take a photo of it, and send customer service a photo of your bags at the desk.

Before you leave, lock and label each bag, keep your passport, valuables and medicine with you, and check the number of bags matches your booking.
How to meet LuggAgent at the airport
There's no LuggAgent counter at the airport. After baggage claim, go to the meeting point shown in your booking confirmation, where an agent waits with a LuggAgent sign and takes your bags in person (Airport meeting points). Each bag is photographed at handover, and you head into the city with just your day bag.

Can't see the agent? Message customer service on WhatsApp, LINE or email and they'll help you find them. It helps to say where you're standing and send a photo of your bags. Join the support channels after you book, so the team can reach you on the day.
If you're late or your flight is delayed
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Slow immigration or running late | 30 minutes of free waiting from your scheduled time; after that, a waiting fee applies. Message customer service as early as you can. |
| Flight delayed by 1 hour or less | The handover time is adjusted automatically. |
| Flight delayed by more than 1 hour | The booking may be cancelled with a 50% refund. |
| Flight lands early | Contact customer service. Routes are planned in advance, so an earlier handover isn't guaranteed. |
| You'd like a different meeting place | Ask in advance; it depends on availability and may cost extra. |
Step 4: Photos, tracking and getting your bags back
Every bag is photographed at both pickup and delivery to record its condition (Terms). Take your own photo of each bag too.
You can follow your order on the tracking page, and you get an email when your bags are collected and when they're delivered. At a hotel, the bags are left at reception; if you can't check in yet, the front desk keeps them until you arrive. You can't pick an exact delivery time, only "by 18:00" or "by 21:00". At the airport, the agent hands your bags back to you in person at the meeting point.
Check your bags when you get them. Report any damage at delivery, or within 24 hours for hotel deliveries.
Staying at an Airbnb or guesthouse
Homestays work slightly differently, because there's no front desk. Book as usual (most services at least 24–72 hours ahead; the exact cutoff is shown on the booking page), and follow the rules on the Airbnb and homestay page:
- Pickup: the driver meets you in person at the pickup time you chose (09:00–11:00), so be there with your bags.
- Delivery: the driver places your bags inside, so you don't need to be home. Send customer service the full address (building, floor, room) and the check-in details (door code, key box, building access) by 13:00 local time on the service day.
- If the details are late or don't work: the driver first tries to reach you; if they still can't get in, your bags go to a nearby locker or are delivered later that day or the next day. Extra fees may apply, and you're told the cost first.
What can't you send?
Each standard bag can weigh up to 32 kg and measure up to 180 cm; oversized items, up to 25 kg and 250 cm (Luggage rules). Bags over these limits may be declined or charged an extra handling fee.
| Can't be sent | Examples |
|---|---|
| Dangerous items | Firearms, knives, swords, fireworks, fuel, gas canisters |
| Food that spoils | Frozen or chilled goods, food that would expire in transit |
| Valuables and documents | Cash, cards, jewellery, passports, boarding passes |
| Other | Live animals, irreplaceable items, remains and religious items |
Packing tips, lock advice and what belongs in your day bag are covered in the packing guide listed in Related guides.
Changing or cancelling a booking
Changes are free until 00:00, three days before your service date. After that, a change isn't guaranteed; if it can be accepted, a rush fee applies (FAQ, Terms).
| What you want to do | Deadline |
|---|---|
| Change date, time or details for free | Before 00:00, three days before the service date |
| Change the date or a pickup or delivery address later | Request up to 24 hours before the service; subject to availability and possibly a fee |
| Add bags | Any time: message customer service and pay by link |
| Reduce the number of bags | At least 24 hours before the service time |
| Cancel with a refund | Before 00:00, three days before the service date (minus a small handling fee) |
| Cancel later | Not refundable |
For example, for a service on 10 December, cancel or change before 00:00 on 7 December. If your flight is cancelled outright, tell customer service at once: with more than 24 hours' notice you can move the date for free.
Try it on a real route
The quickest way to learn is to price a route you'll actually use; each card opens the booking page with the route filled in.

Do I have to wait at the hotel for the driver?
No. At a hotel with a front desk, leave your bags at reception by your pickup time (09:00–11:00) and send customer service a photo. The driver collects them later in the day, and you get an email once they've been picked up.
Where do I meet LuggAgent at the airport?
At the meeting point shown in your booking confirmation. There's no counter; an agent waits there with a LuggAgent sign. If you can't find them, message customer service and they'll help you locate the agent.
What time slot should I choose for the airport?
When arriving, we recommend choosing a pickup time about 1 hour after your flight lands, so you have time for immigration and baggage claim (available 09:00–18:00). When departing, we recommend choosing a delivery time at least 2 hours before your flight departs; 15:00–21:00 are the standard hours.
What if my flight is delayed?
If the delay is 1 hour or less, the handover time is adjusted automatically. If it's more than 1 hour, the booking may be cancelled with a 50% refund. If immigration is just slow, you have 30 minutes of free waiting from your scheduled time.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Changes are free and cancellations are refunded (minus a small handling fee) until 00:00, three days before your service date. After that, changes depend on availability and carry a rush fee, and cancellations aren't refundable.
